Who can take the examination<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The PLIDA certificate is intended for people whose mother tongue is not Italian. The PLIDA exam is also open to all Italian or foreign citizens whose mother tongue is Italian who need a certificate of competence in Italian for study, work or other reasons.
With the introduction of Presidential Decree 86 of 14 May 2010<\/a>, citizens of the Trentino-Alto Adige Region who present a recognised language certificate (PLIDA, CELI, CILS, IT) are exempt from the Italian language examinations for the bilingualism certificate.
