Who can take the exam?
The PLIDA certificate is intended for non-native speakers of Italian. The PLIDA is also open to all Italian speakers, Italian citizens or foreigners, who need a certificate of competence in Italian as a foreign language for study, work or other types of reasons.
With the entry into force of Presidential Decree 86 of 14 May 2010, citizens of the Trentino-Alto Adige who provide a valid language certificate (PLIDA, CELI, CILS, IT) are exempted from taking Italian language exams for the issue of bilingualism licence. For further information and to know how to register for the exam sessions, please contact Dante Alighieri Society Committee of Bolzano or the Committees operating in Austria.
